BC06 XXXVI: A special visitor.

I can't remember the actual number of this week's brunch, so I made up 36 because it sounds right.

But anyway... this weekend we have Christine in town, as well as everyone's favorite Portland, OR expat cousin. Needless to say, Sunday's Brunch Club promises to be full of intrigue and surprise...

We need a venue. I suggest something non-Dim Sum. Maybe Schiller's?

Absence makes the heart...

Last weekend in lieu of making a guest appearance at brunch with Luxmundito, I realized that Lux would likely flee the scene so I decided to follow the tracks. My investigative hunt kept me on hot on the trail, and I found myself on a beach with the sun shining down.

After a thorough search of the area, I was unable to snare the elusive Lux, although I tracked down a wonderful serving of fish and chips, replete with corn fritters. Brunchalicious.

I'll be back on the hunt again soon, disguised, as always, as the innocent American bruncher. That's right Lux, hear the footsteps, we're-a-coming...

"Monument to Pro-Life: The Birth of Sean Preston"

I can post provocative images, too!

Can I be the first to suggest a Brooklyn brunch at some point between Apr 7 and Apr 23, so that we can go see this fine piece of art?

Luxmundito Brunch Club Wake.... Or Shiva?

I will definitely be at BC this weekend. I suggest we make it a Luxmundito funeral and bring door prizes accordingly.

more brunch club accolades

I'd like to extend my heartiest congratulations to Lee, who got into University of Chicago today!

if you fancy pants business school applicants keep going at this rate, we're going to start having Brunch Club at Del Frisco's and Pastis every week. although the idea of a Brunch Club field trip for deep dish brunch pizza and mimosas is very tempting. i'm so proud of you Lee!!

brunch club providence version

last sunday, lee and i took a jaunt down memory lane (and Rt 95) to meet our friend rob for brunch at one of our favorite restaurants in providence, the Modern Diner. Although this classic diner car from 1941 doesn't exactly match its name, Modern Diner devotees (adam, back me up here) all agree that their huge menu is anything but antiquated. Their special dishes include ricotta lemon pancakes, lobster Benedict, cream cheese and blueberry-stuffed French Toast, and French Toast with custard sauce and fresh berries. Rob and I had some sort of fabulous omelette with spinach and tasty items, and Lee had some sort of mushroom/brie cheese dish (lee please jump in here, can't seem to remember the particulars). it was a great brunch and i can't wait until y'all come to providence to go there with us!

A Brunch Club Miracle

I invited Luxmundito to brunch club this weekend. I suggest we agree on a place soon so we can convince him to reveal himself to us this Sunday.
